7.A work of literature having imaginary characters and events.
10.The character who is somehow going against the main character.
11.The main idea of a literary work. It begs the question, “What insight into life does the story reveal?"
12.The pattern of events or the main story in a literary work or film; this is what happens.

14.A series of related incidents in the plot that set up the conflict for the main character and give the reader a sense that something decisive is about to happen.

1.The time and place of the events in the story.
2.The beginning of the story where the author “sets the stage” and introduces the characters and their present situation to the reader through dialogue and description.
3.The final resolution of the problem.
4.The most intense and important moment in the story; a turning point where the conflict comes to a head, and the main character turns toward a solution of the problem (good or bad).
5.The clash between opposing forces, people, or ideas in a story.
6.The series of events that take place after the climax, leading up to the denouement; the untangling of the complications of the rising action.
8.A fictional work of prose that is shorter in length than a novel.
9.The main character who enlists the reader's sympathy and interest in the story.
