This puzzle is to help you learn the definition of the computer parts we are learning about. This will help you review for the test.

4.Peripheral Component Interconnect. A slot on the motherboard used to add PCI expansion cards.
8.Printed circuit board that, coupled with a set of speakers, enables a computer to reproduce music and sound effects.
12.It protects all the electronic components inside and must have adequate ventilation to prevent overheating.
14.The main circuit board of your computer.
15.The component that reads and writes data to a hard disk. Stores information.
16.The component that reads or writes information from the DVD/CD-ROM.

1.The microprocessor. The “brains” of the computer.

3.The cable that connects the drives to the motherboard.
5.A board that plugs into a personal computer to give it display capabilities (graphics).

9.A circuit board used to connect the computer to a local area network (LAN).
10.The component that supplies power to your computer.
11.Random access memory. Memory that can be deleted or created at any time. It is volatile.
13.Read only memory. Memory that cannot be deleted. It is nonvolatile.
