exponents and exponential functions

Mercedez Lazha Hardy

In this chapter we simplified and performed operations on expressions involving exponents. we also extended the properties of integer exponents to rational exponents. Another thing we did was used scientific notation and lastly we graphed and used exponential functions.

9.a special application of exponential growth
10.a number, variable, or the product of a number and one or more variables with nonnegative integer exponents.
11.monomial that is a real number.
12.a function that can be described by an equation of the form y=Ax, where a>0 and a = 1
Down
1.an equation in which the variables occur as exponents
2.when an initial amount decreases by the same percent over a given period of time.
3.each term is formulated from one or more previous terms.
4.the ratio of successive terms of a geometric sequence.
5.a sequence in which each term after the first is found by multiplying the previous term by a constant r, called the common ratio
6.any nonzero number raised to the zero power.
7.when an initial amount increases by the same percent over a given period of time.

Use the "Printable HTML" button to get a clean page, in either HTML or PDF, that you can use your browser's print button to print. This page won't have buttons or ads, just your puzzle. The PDF format allows the web site to know how large a printer page is, and the fonts are scaled to fill the page. The PDF takes awhile to generate. Don't panic!
