1.An input to a process that exerts significant influence on any one or all of the key outputs (Y) of a process.
2.Any activity performed in producing or delivering a service that add value, where value is considered to mean changing the form or function of the product or service and is something which the customer is willing to pay for.
3.A snapshot of the state of inputs/outputs frozen at a point in time for a particular process.
4.A strategy where employees work together proactively to achieve regular, incremental improvements in the manufacturing process.
