These are some basic literary elements used to analyze a piece of literary work.

3.Comparison of two things using like or as “Busy as a bee.”
4.Phrase used to describe in an unusual way: “She has a heart of stone.”
8.General idea the writer wants to express: love, happiness, fear, etc.
9.Person who tells the story
10.Language that evokes one or all of the five senses: seeing, touching, smelling, hearing and tasting
