Short Algebra Puzzle

A short and fun algebra puzzle that challenges the mind.

ellipse The formula x = [-b (b2 - 4ac)]/2a, used to compute the roots of a quadratic equation.
absolute value A conic section which is essentially a stretched circle.
foil a letter that is used in place of a number
linear equation in this property, the sum will always stay the same no matter what numbers you add on either side of the equations
monomial any numbers that can be expressed as p over q or p/q
rational A technique for distributing two binomials
sum consisting of or characterized by two or more names or terms
constant has two unlike terms with either an addition or subtraction sign
binomial A quantity shaped as an arrow with both magnitude and direction
quadratic formula the difference between a number and the origin(0)
polynomial has one term
commutative the result of an algebraic expression
variable a term with no variable
vector a first-order equation involving two variables: its graph is a straight line in the Cartesian coordinate system.
