Louis Armstrong was well known among the jazz musicians for his unique timbre, sound qualities of his voice; and his tone color, the inflections of the voice that give us a picture of the song. He created scat singing using nonsense syllables and putting them into a melody. He was also very good at improvisation, making up a new song at the moment. Jazz music also incorporated the use of the glissando among the trombones especially because the slide allows them to smear the notes so a specific pitch is not heard. These techniques created a whole new world of music for the world and is attributed to the United States and Louis Armstrong.
