Sequence of events when you come down with the flu!

Christine Barker

The sequence of events which occur when you come down with a cold is a good example of how a virus works! An infected person snezes. You inhale the virus. It attaches to cell linings in your nose. The virus attacks the cells lining your sinuses. It rapidly reporoduces new viruses via the lytic cycle. The host cell breaks. New viruses spread into your bloodstream and into your lungs. Because you have lost cells lining your sinuses fluid can flow into your nasal passages. You get a runny nose. Viruses in the fluid drip down your throat and attack the cells lining your throat and give you a sore throat! Viruses in the bloodstream can attack muscle cells and give you aches and pains...Now can you find some of the words related to the sequence of events. This information will be very useful for your assignment ...but remember only IF you are writing about a Virus!!

Some of the puzzles that people list for the public get indexed by the search engines (like Google). Some people find those puzzles and cannot figure out how to make a puzzle of their own. So this page now has the navigation sidebar.

There are now buttons on the puzzle so that you can get a clean page, in either HTML or PDF, that you can use your browser's print button to print. The PDF format allows the web site to know how large a printer page is, and the fonts are scaled to fill the page. The PDF takes awhile to generate. Don't panic!
