God allowed Satan to give Job sores.  Job hurt so much that Job wished he had never been born.  Job's three friends, Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar told Job that God only lets bad things happen to people when they sin.  They thought Job had done something wrong.  Job asked God why these things were happening to him.  God did not explain to Job the reason, but God asked Job many questions and if he understood how God made the earth?  Job realized that God was so powerful for him to understand why God did things. He did not question God anymore.  God was angry with Job's friends because they said things about God that were wrong.  Story found in the book of Job.
