Ananias and Sapphira Lie- Acts 5

Kay Perez

A man named Ananias and his wife, Sapphira, sold some property.  They both decided to secretly keep part of the money they got from the sale of their property and Ananias brought the rest to the Apostles.  Peter asked Ananias why Satan had filled his heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the money he had sold the land for?   Peter told him that he had not lied to men, but to God.  Ananias fell down and died after hearing Peter speak.  Later Sapphira came in and did not know what happened to her husband and she also lied to Peter.  She also fell down and died.  Great fear came over the believers.  Later, the Apostles and many people were together at Solomon's porch.  the Apostles were healing people and the High Priest and Sadducees were angry with the Apostles.  They put them in prison  Read the entire story in Acts, chapter 5, to learn how an angel of the Lord helped them escape.  Remember, "We ought to obey God rather than men." (Acts 5:29)

Some of the puzzles that people list for the public get indexed by the search engines (like Google). Some people find those puzzles and cannot figure out how to make a puzzle of their own. So this page now has the navigation sidebar.

There are now buttons on the puzzle so that you can get a clean page, in either HTML or PDF, that you can use your browser's print button to print. The PDF format allows the web site to know how large a printer page is, and the fonts are scaled to fill the page. The PDF takes awhile to generate. Don't panic!
