1.In baseball, To bat (a pitched ball) by tapping it lightly so that the ball rolls slowly in front of the infielders.
2.To write hurriedly without heed to legibility or style.
3.Salivary foam released as a result of disease or exhaustion
4.To rub (two surfaces) together harshly
6.To speak indistinctly in low tones.
8.A stain, a not so good thing.
11.To say something in a really loud voice.
12.To lose conciousness for a moment.
