Wangari Maathai

Wangari Muta Maathai ( April 1, 1940 – September 25, 2011) was a Kenyan woman who was known for helping her country's environmental issues and was a political activist. She won the Nobel Peace Prize for her hard work in 2004, which made her the first African woman to receive the honor.
