Falls are the second most common cause of fatalities in the United States, and a recent study found that 43% of fatal falls involved use of a ladder. Given the severity of injuries that can result from misuse of ladders, it’s not surprising that improper ladder use is one of OSHA’s top 10 most frequently cited safety and health violations. Don’t become a statistic; follow these guidelines for using ladders safely.
